Intercultural Learning and Engagement (ILE)

Today’s students graduate into a highly diverse world in which they encounter a myriad of viewpoints and experiences. Intercultural learning and engagement prepare them for this reality by introducing them to new perspectives, embracing diverse learners, and asking students to think critically about the role that their own experiences and biases play in their beliefs and behavior.SNU strives to be a culturally responsive community where all members of the community are respected, valued, and appreciated. We believe all people are made in the image of God, and a diverse community valuing the contributions of every person is essential to SNU and the Kingdom of God. Spiritual Oasis Featured Videos

Life is difficult. It is especially difficult when we have added school to an already busy schedule. Finding an Oasis that offers a cool drink of spring water to help us in our travels is always refreshing. During his ten years of teaching in our PGS classes, Retired Chaplain Samples heard hundreds of questions about God, the Bible, and Christianity from PGS students just like you.

In this popular series, he tackled the most asked questions in short six-minute videos. Click on the title to watch the video.

Lent - A study of guilt, shame, and freedom

Brene Brown says that Shame only needs three things to grow: Secrecy, Silence, and Judgment! During the Season of Lent, we want to discuss Recovery from Shame.

Advent in Liminal Space

Liminality is when we are being pushed to the limits of our endurance... and we don’t know what’s next. Liminal is Latin for the threshold of a door. When you are in the threshold, you are neither in nor out. You are caught in a fluid space that can be paralyzing. No matter the time of year, these videos are guaranteed to encourage you.
